My skin care story

  • Just like any other woman of this world, I strive for perfect silky skin. However, puberty and life haven’t been so easy on me and I had plenty of issues with dry skin and dozens of imperfections. It wasn’t all that bad, but it was torture. I had to try out many different techniques and products until I’ve finally figured out the three magic ingredients which promise beautiful healthy skin.

    Healthy Diet

I am a big fan of sweets and junk food. However, these have the worst impact on my skin. They’re all packed with bad carbs and sugar which some of the biggest reasons why people have acne, pimples and other blemishes. I switched to a more healthy diet filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. Theyare filled with water and antioxidants which can hydrate your skin and repair damage caused by sun and other environmental factors. My favourites are green veggies, watermelons, peaches and berries. Also, I started using olive oil instead of the other refined oils, and ate plenty of fish. Diet that consists of these and other similar ingredients performed miracles on my blemished skin, and now it protects it.

    Adequate Skin Care

Besides regular healthy meals, I had to change my beauty regimen, as well. Inthe beginning, I relied on basic soaps and regularly washed my face with it. However, that turned out to be a bad idea. Regular soaps only dried out my skin to the point it started flaking. Since my skin is dry and pretty sensitive I had to look for various moisturizers and toners made just for this skin type. Among various products I tried, the moisturizers from Ultraceuticals turned out to be the best. These provided enough moisture to my skin and kept it smooth and silky. Also, I vowed to exfoliate at least twice a week, in order to removeall the dead skin cells and dirt. Finally, I needed something to nourish my skin and relax it, so I decided to use face masks with milk and honey, which only help my skin glow.

    Sleep!

Believe it or not, but the quality sleep is a key factor for a healthy skin. I used to sleep less than 7 hours a day, because I love staying up late or I had to work. Lack of sleep only made me look horrible in the morning, added plenty of bags and circles under my eyes and causedmy skin to look old and dry all the time. I found out later that they call it a beauty sleep for a reason, so I integrated a few short naps during the day if I couldn’t get enough sleep during the night. However, I mostly tried to go to bed early, tune out any noise that keeps me awake and simply enjoy the beauties of any sleep I could get.

This is my magic combo for the perfect skin. If you don’t believe me, try it out yourself. It will take some time for your body to adjust to the new food and daily routines, but inthe end, it all pays off.
