Hippodrome: A Remarkable Entertainment Destination in London

  • Hippodrome is one of the leading and most admired entertainment destinations in London. It has always been a best performing arts centre in one form or another. Originally, it started with a circus and variety show that included live polar bears and elephants. In the year 1909, the hippodrome was renovated to suit the theatre for a selection of shows rather than only circus use. It was again modified to host revue-style performances.

In 1910, The Hippodrome hosted the country’s first ever performance of Swan Lake. From December 1912, The Albert de Courville revues were also performed at Hippodrome. In December 2012, The Hippodrome was sold to the local developers Shane Turner and Cody Turner who decided to renovate this venue while preserving its true classic appearance. After few modifications like a retractable wall and movie screen inside the theatre, stadium-like seating arrangement and more, the venue became even more entertaining and attractive.

In the present day, The Hippodrome is considered as the most desirable live entertainment venue in London. Come here to experience the best class entertainment like never before.
